Steffen’s Iron Works has built many of the finest stairway and interior railings in the San Francisco Bay Area. You can choose from many different custom designs or we can help you to decide what would look best in your space. Whether your doing new construction or trying to up-date your old wooden rails we can help you. We can even reuse your existing wood cap and place new, up to date iron rails under it.

We work with a variety of materials including steel, brass, copper, bronze, stainless steel, aluminum, glass, wood, etc. Look at our photos and experience the modern feel of hand-grained stainless steel or the nostalgia of old-world wrought iron. We offer an assortment of custom finishes and can build your items from an auto cad drawing or just an idea that you jotted down on a piece of paper. We will work with you to achieve your ideal finished product.
